STRATEGI KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA MADRASAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN MINAT SANTRI MENGHAFAL AL-QUR’AN: STUDI KASUS DI MTS RAUDHATUL ULUM

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of tahfidz al-Qur'an learning and the leadership strategy of madrasah heads in increasing students' interest in memorizing the Qur'an at MTs Raudhatul Ulum. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation of madrasah heads, deputy heads of curriculum, tahfidz teachers, and purposively selected students. Data analysis is carried out through data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawn, and triangulation. The results of the study showed that tahfidz learning was carried out regularly through memorization deposits, murojaah, and teacher assistance. The leadership strategy of the head of the madrasah is realized through increasing the competence of tahfidz teachers, organizing Tahfidz Camps, and adding Qur'an learning hours. This strategy contributes to increasing motivation, memorization quality, and achievement of student memorization targets, although they are still faced with obstacles in the form of differences in students' abilities and low murojaah consistency. The novelty of this research lies in the identification of the leadership strategy of madrasah heads that integrate teacher competency development, strengthening tahfidz programs, and learning support in increasing students' interest in memorizing the Qur'an. These findings contribute to the development of Islamic education leadership studies and become practical recommendations in the management of tahfidz programs in madrasas.
