الملخص

Project-Based Learning (PjBL) is widely recognized for promoting meaningful learning and 21st-century skills. This study analyzes dysfunctions in the implementation of PjBL syntax within an Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teaching module on Patriotism and Religious Moderation and reconstructs a more systematic syntax based on PjBL principles. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the study employed document analysis of a PAI teaching module used at SMAN 3 Sidoarjo. The analysis focused on the alignment between PjBL syntax and instructional design components. The findings revealed several syntax dysfunctions, including delayed project initiation, the absence of explicit scheduling and reflection stages, and inadequate project monitoring. Gaps were also identified in sequencing, differentiation, assessment, and technology integration. In response, the study proposes a reconstructed PjBL syntax that systematically integrates project activities, monitoring, and reflection throughout the learning process. The novelty of this study lies in its examination of PjBL dysfunctions at the instructional design level and the development of a reconstructed syntax specifically tailored for Islamic Religious Education. These findings provide an alternative framework for strengthening PjBL implementation in PAI learning.
