This study examines the role of fathers in creating a harmonious home environment from the perspective of Islamic Religious Education in 7 Ulu Lorong Garuda 2, Palembang. The research addresses three main issues: the description of harmonious family life, the factors influencing family harmony, and the role of fathers in fostering harmony based on Islamic educational values. This study aims to describe family conditions, identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and analyze the father’s role as a leader (qawwam), educator, protector, and role model in accordance with Islamic principles. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The findings reveal that a harmonious family is characterized by effective communication, mutual respect, emotional bonding, shared responsibility, and the application of religious values in daily life. Internal factors such as emotional maturity and religious commitment, as well as external factors including economic conditions and social environment, significantly influence family harmony. Fathers play a crucial role in guiding, educating, and exemplifying Islamic values, thereby fostering a peaceful, loving, and spiritually grounded family environment.
